Question about Boss TU-12H tuners
I just bought one of these and was wondering if there is supposed to be a light for the gauge. I'm not talking about the little red arrows, but a light ring to light up the needle gauge. I could have sworn they had lights, but my new one doesn't. I just want to make sure mine isn't a crapper.
Thanks

I've had the chance to work on a few of the older units and they did have a small lamp to illuminate the faceplate. They were also of the needle-type tuners. No LED's or such involved.
Don't know about the newer models. I use a Korg DTR-1 and sometimes a Zen-on 331 needle type. The Zen-on has a switchable lamp in it.

Rayman,
If you don't want to open the unit up to wire the lamp to the internal circuit, just wire the mini lamp to a 9volt battery, through a minature toggle switch.tape it to the unit, and place the bulb against the meter glass, with a small piece of tape over it...The meter glass will diffuse the light and give adequate light to read the meter...may not be 'pretty' but it works...RP...'come on in'...
