I have a fairly new 15" B.W. that I had trouble with about a year ago and Mike Brown recommended that I clean out the voice coil gap. I did the masking tape cleaning method and I also blew it out with an air hose as Mike suggested. I put it back together and the thing worked great. Lately it started showing the same symptoms as it did a year ago and I cleaned the gap. Sounds good again. My question is why have I had to clean this so many times? It is in an enclosed cabinet and after taking the speaker apart a couple of times now I don't see how anything can get in there in the first place. Is there something else I should be doing?
Thanks,
Jim
