Mike how can I tell if my Nashville 400 Amp has a Mode in it???What can I look for if I take the head out of it.Thanks in advance.

One immediate visual change would be to check the IC's as being Burr Brown OPA2604's instead of the older 4558's. There were also some resistor and capacitor changes in that mod kit as well, but you would need a schematic to check those.

Doesn't the Peavey web site give the serial numbers for amps pre and post modification? The used NV 400 I bought had a serial number post-mod, so I have never worried about it. I guess if yours is pre-mod you could check as Mike says to see if a previous owner modified it.

David I can't check with my Freind that I bought the Amp From as he passed away last year Pete Creslo was one of the best guys and steel players in the Mini State of Rhode island.A good freind of George Edwards the steel player for Kitty Wells. He did have a new B/W speaker put in just before he sold it to me.
