Pop when turned on

I have a Peavey Stereo Chorus 400 that I leave at church. Whenever I turn it on there is a loud POP. It has not been checked by a repairman. Sounds just fine when being played through. Used mainly for steel but sometimes for A/E Guitar. It's mainly annoying when turning it back on after the sermon.

Try turning the Pre-Gain, Reverb or both completely off (0) when turning the amp on and off.

Works on my Nashville 400.
