lesile speaker hookup set-up

Hello,
Well, I am glad to say that I am now the proud owner of an orginial lesile speaker that a friend found for me. What I need is help hooking it up to my steel? You guys know it has that prong cord, how do I connect it? What is the proper series set-up in the steel, amp, lesile? Help!!! How do you set yours up? thanks Skip

Skip, you'll need a Leslie connector kit. Here are a few possibilities (I found them by Google search, I don't actually know anything about these particular suppliers):

Those are some great links but you can probably save most of the money by looking at the amp and seeing where the audio goes in, and where to switch the relays, and just put a couple of jacks on there. At least I was able to do it on my 147 so it can't be too hard.

When I got my Leslie 122 many years ago, I somehow found a schematic for the connector kit and built it myself. There's not a lot to it, but finding the multi-prong cable connector may be a challenge.

There are several on Ebay under "Leslie Preamp". I had one for guitar and steel, the actual Leslie Brand sounds really nice. But I understand the Trek II is good also.

You'll need a Leslie combo pre-amp pedal which is a large AC powered floor pedal containing the inputs(2),volume controls(2) and speed switching button.You plug your instrument into the pedal inputs(1/4" phono jacks - just like a guitar amp)and the pedal connects to the actual Leslie cabinet power amp with the multi-pin cable.The
male and female cable-mount connectors are actually identical to vacuum tube sockets and can be had at any comprehensive electronic supply - as can the raw snake cable stock. If you've ever fixed a broken guitar cable you can build your own.I schlepped a 147RV around the Southland for 10 years - sounded cool - too big & heavy - I'm done. -MJ-

Evidently the level coming out of the organ is a line level signal. I have a Keyboard Products "hotrod" 122 with a pedal that has a guitar input and replaces the leslie switch.
