lesile speaker hookup set-up
Hello,
Well, I am glad to say that I am now the proud owner of an orginial lesile speaker that a friend found for me. What I need is help hooking it up to my steel? You guys know it has that prong cord, how do I connect it? What is the proper series set-up in the steel, amp, lesile? Help!!! How do you set yours up? thanks Skip

You'll need a Leslie combo pre-amp pedal which is a large AC powered floor pedal containing the inputs(2),volume controls(2) and speed switching button.You plug your instrument into the pedal inputs(1/4" phono jacks - just like a guitar amp)and the pedal connects to the actual Leslie cabinet power amp with the multi-pin cable.The
male and female cable-mount connectors are actually identical to vacuum tube sockets and can be had at any comprehensive electronic supply - as can the raw snake cable stock. If you've ever fixed a broken guitar cable you can build your own.I schlepped a 147RV around the Southland for 10 years - sounded cool - too big & heavy - I'm done. -MJ-
