Fender Stage 100
I thought I should drop a note regarding my purchase of a Fender Stage 100. I have been looking for a small amp in the 30 - 40 lb. range that would sound good with the steel. In reading the forum, I noted the positive remarks about the Stage 112 SE from Donny Hinson and b0b. Well, I didn't read the details too well and wound up buying the newer Stage 100 with a 12" Celestion. I was real nervous (having read their recommendation in more detail) but I'll have to say that the amp is a winner. At 42 lbs., it's easy to tote. Since I'm using it for practice and small gigs, it fills the bill. Best of all, I play some lead guitar and for a solid state amp, it's got a lot of tone whether playing clean or cranked with distortion. It's a good compromise amp for those who play some lead along with pedal steel. Also - they're real affordable. Thanks guys.
