TubeWorks Amp

Post by GaryL »

Last month I purchased a TW1500 from Genz-Benz thru a local dealer. I have owned a lot of amps(Fender Twin,PV Session 400,two Nashville 400's,a DPC750)but this is by far the most clear and warm-toned. I am currently pre-amping with a LeMay-modded Profex II. This amp did wonders for all of the programs, especially the reverbs. Wow!!

Gary, in another thread I commented on my MosValve 500 which is the older version of this amp (I use mine with a Transtube Fex).

I had tried out a Carvin DCM1000 power amp and compared to the MosValve I didn't like it. The MosValve is much "warmer" and more guitar amp like than the Carvin. The Carvin was clean but just seemed too "sterile".

The only negative is the weight.
