Little silver BOX

Post by Gary Steele »

I'v got a little Alum box With 2 1/4 in jacks and a 500K AB pot one jack says guitar + one says amp what would this be good for other than an Extra pot for a pot pedal? Thanks, Gary I would probably take a thousand dollars 4 it since it has a rare A.B. pot. (ONLY KIDDING) No nervous breakDowns.

Gary, that's probably an adjustable attenuator (unless it has contains a capacitor, making it a tone control). For the player who A/B's two instruments running thru a one-channel amp, you can turn the louder one down a bit with the attenuator to equalize the levels so you don't have to mess with the amp volume when switching instruments. I know of a keyboard player who could use one of those to attenuate the line-out signal from her Korg keyboard to better match the line-out signal of her Kurzweil which would allow more flexibility with the volume swell control on the Korg and quit giving the soundman fits. What'll you take for this little unit?
