If I go with a Lexion MPX-1 and a Nashville 400 could anyone tell me what a preamp will do for me??

I noticed their is a Tubeworks 9002 Real Tube2 available with a pedal steel mod. Does anyone have one or know where one could be purchased??

The Nashville 400 has a preamp in it. I don't know what an external preamp would get you.

You have an amp, with a preamp and an effects processor. That should more than suffice for a beginner.
