I've picked up a cheap "Commodore" copy of a Fender 2-pickup lap steel (Champ? Studio Deluxe?). I'd like to replace the pickups with better ones. They look like standard Strat size, so maybe they'd drop right in. Any ideas for getting something like the Fender originals? Or maybe 'noiseless' versions? Although it's a non-pedal, ideally I'd like a tone just like Buddy's.
