Jo Dee Messina and Jim?

Post by Tony Harris »

Just listening to the Jo Dee Messina "Burn" album. Although I've never heard it said, I'm assuming she's the daughter of Jim Messina of Buffalo Springfield/Poco/Loggins and Messina fame. Is that right?
Is Jim Messina still around?

I doubt they're related. Jim is a California guy, by way of Texas and Jo Dee is from New England. Jim Messina released his most recent CD in 1996 -- a live album, according to http://www.allmusic.com

Jim Messina living in Santa Barbara. I saw him a few years back when he came to a reunion show there for my old band, The Lonesome Tumbleweeds.

Jim Messina. I'm with Jim Cohen on this one. Jim Messina is the single most primary reason and influence that I am a Telecaster fanatic as well as a Steel bum. By the way Jim Cohen, it was great to meet you in St Louis and your set was awesome.

Jimbeaux... have you been watching StarWars videos lately? You appear to have slipped into Yoda syntax... or is that "slipped into Yoda syntax, you have"?

Jim Messina is also one of my fave guit pickers.
