Doyle Holly
Saw something interesting at Doyle Holly's website http://doyleholly.com
He has two online CDs, taken from his solo recordings over the years.
Best of Doyle Holly Vol. 1
Best of Doyle Holly Vol. 2
Both were issued on CD this year.
The big one for me though is the acoustic CD, which was innspired by the August '99 Buck Owens Buckaroos reunion to help Buck celebrate his 70th Birthday, at Buck's Crystal Palace in Bakersfield.
Doyle has gone back into the studio to cut a CD. He has brought with him Tom Brumley and Willie Cantu. They are going into Buckaroo Bluegrass territory!
This is technically Doyle's first Compact Disc recording and it marks the first time he has been in the studio in several years.
This recording is being made under the OMS Records label and features many talented bluegrass musicians as well as the ex-Buckaroos contribution. http://omsrecords.com/ the website is currently being updated, but I wrote to Doyle and his CD should be out on OMS by the end of the year, okay!
Doyle is also on the Sundazed series of Buck Owens albums which have been wonderfully remasteres to CD. The latest in the Carnige Hall CD, and a Don Rich compilation CD.

I've actually passed on Doyle's email on to Gene, seeing as they were old bandmates and all.
I'm suprised that Doyle's email isn't on the website though, it used to be.
The web site has been redesigned though.
Doyle's current record label is really interesting and has a few bluegrass greats as part of their roster.
