re Pee Wee King
Pee Wee will be 86 on Friday. I need to find
my Hall of Fame guide but I belive he is either the 2nd or 3rd oldest living member in the Hall behind Jimmy Davis.
Anyone would love the royelty checks from the Tennessee Waltz from 1947.
Of course a couple folks in here also know my fondness of You Belong to Me

Hey Janice,
I'd like to have some of those royalty checks too but I think Pee Wee shouldn't have ever made it to the Hall of Fame. He was just a short Acordion player who had a great band and co-wrote some great tunes. His partner who never gets any credit was a guy named Redd Stewart who had one of the smoothest and greatest voices ever heard in country music in my opinion. Without Redd's help and vocals Pee Wee would have probably spent his life working in a Polka band somewhere in Wisconsin.

Maby overlooking Red had to do with the Hall
of Fame rules at the time.
By 1972 the only multiple inductie was The
Carter family. It would be a few more years
before the unrelated mutiple inductions of
Flatt and Scruggs and The Sun's Of the Pioneers.

Kathryn,
I beg to differ.Redd Stewart is married to one of the Collins sisters (Joyce or Darlene). They were part of the show. PeeWee's Wife is Lydia. And I,also, think Redd should be in the C.M.H.O.F,right next to PeeWee.They both deserve to be there.
