OK, I know this isn't exactly country music.... or is it?...
but I'd rather post it here than at off topic

Image... hope that's OK

I saw the first 30 minutes or so of opening night of their current tour - broadcast live on VH1 on Monday night. It was just the 4 guys plus bass and drums. Sadly,I must relate that they sucked so hard that they should be taken out and shot.Their voices appear to be (already)shot.I don't know how my buddy Jim Keltner can stand to be playing drums with them - money,I guess. And I used to LOVE their music...it's really sad.At least they're not doing a Milli-Vanilli lip-sync thing - although in this case,I would understand.-MJ-

Wow.. that's interesting... I wish I could have seen the VH 1 special... maybe I will be able to catch a rerun...

interesting indeed...

I wonder why Catlin gives it such a great review?

I saw the VH-1 also. At least half of it. I thought the signing was terrible. I tried to listen closely to each singer, as they had solo parts, and everyone was poor. So, they couldn't get their famous blend because each of their voices is gone.

As big a fan as I was and am of their music, they should let the past be. I imagine, if they concentrated on new material and what their voice can now do, they might make some quality music.

Are they as bad now as they were in the Woodstock movie?

Could it have been first set jitters with a poorly mixed stage monitor problem??

You know how those things go... it may take a set to get the mix and then to relaxed???... especially in front of TV cameras??

Yeah, maybe these youngsters need to get a couple of gigs under their belt to lose those first-time jitters.

Hey, they are just human...where once they
were Gods...they are now,as then...human.
As far as I'm concerned, they can do no wrong.
They surely influenced me. I actually like
slight imperfection. It's no big deal.

Mike, I hope you are right. Jitters, kinks, etc.
