Glenn Taylor Moyo volume pedal

Post by Patrick Edwards »

I need to tell the forum of my experience with Glenn Taylor who builds the Moyo volume pedal.
Some time ago I bought a Moyo vp used off the forum.Soon after receiving it I found it had a “ glitch” at the end of the pedal travel I figured that explained the good price. I put it aside and forgot about it.
Two weeks ago I emailed Glenn telling him of the problem, I left my phone #. Within five minutes I got a call from Glenn . He was on tour with his band in Montana! He told me to send it in and he would check it out when he got home
Yesterday he emailed me stating that it was probably the pot and he was just going to send me a new pedal . He is sending me a new pedal even knowing I bought it used!
Now there is a man who stands behind his product.
I feel the Moyo pedal is a great product and Glenn is a great guy.

They are fantastic! I have three and they are my primary pedals even though I have a Hilton and a Goodrich.
One of my MOYOs got run over by the rear two tires of a semi ( my fault for leaving it on the roof of my car while packing for a gig!) and it survived.
I rest my case.

I love mine! I bought mine as a “back up” because I have broken all my other pedals, managed to fix two so the Moyo was going to be the “back up”. It very quickly became the only pedal I use. The small footprint is not an issue and got used to it right away. Feels very solid underfoot. Built like a tank. I’m going to buy a second here soon, just to have.

I bought one based on this and previous reviews. I ordered it on Tuesday and it arrived on Saturday.

It's tiny - six inches long x two inches wide. The construction is heavy duty and it's clear what plugs in where and how.

It fits my foot perfectly and works exactly like other volume pedals I've used in the past. I'm not hearing any negative affects from using this pedal. I think the size of this pedal makes it a keeper.

Agreed, the Moyo is a high-quality pedal. I had an unexpected issue with the pot shorting at max volume and Glenn was easy to deal with and repaired it quickly.

It's easy to get used to the tiny size of the pedal if you get your foot positioned correctly. I'm a US size 13 shoe and the pedal pretty much disappears under my hoof.

Joining the chorus here, I'm also a happy moyo user. Quite affordable compared to the big VPs, and just solid as a rock. Will probably be the only one I ever use.

Well thank you fellas, those are some very heart-warming comments.
I have built about 2000 pedals (mostly volume pedals, but lots of expression pedals as well) over the last 8 years, and I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Just got mine today. It really is hilarious how tiny it is, but it makes zero difference as far as functionality. So smooth and even across the throw and rock solidly built. I do a lot of theremin and backwards guitar effects with my surf band and this pedal is perfect. Love it!!
