Revelation Tube PreAmp- XLR Plugins

Post by Dale Rottacker »

I have an older (6-7years?) Revelation without the XLR... it does have the pull out feature on the Mid Knob if that helps date it... anyhow, what will I experience while recording by having the XLR’s installed... What would I find while just playing live?

Thanks ALL

Dale

You won't find much difference at all. The XLR output is not quite as hot as the other outputs and XLR was designed for long runs of over 30 feet. If you use a TRS connected instead of the XLR you should not encounter any grounding problems at all.

Since your Presonus accepts both and you can adjust the input level you probably are okay without them. I am not an expert on this and a call to Brad would probably tell you what is best.

Thanks Mark... Perhaps I’ll hold off of that for awhile.
