I just got a Mac to go with my new PreSonus 24.4.2.
Talk about a slick and easy.. I will do the first recording tonight.
Anyone else using this and have any advice or pointers?

Great combo for recording. Set your input levels so they are not too hot. Remember the faders will not control what is going onto computer. ( At least not with Pro Tools).
The preset drum gates work great on the drum inputs and will help with a cleaner drum sound with less leakage. Record it all dry and add effects after the fact.
Most important have fun. I also set up four "sessions" 1 for each set in case the computer decided to puke which fortunately it did not.
BTW with my old PC Laptop, I was able to record 15 tracks simultaneously without any issues. Tested with 24 tracks and it worked fine.

I am struggling with the software, mixing and learning mac.
This was recorded in a noisy bar with a 3 piece band no drums.
Not me playing or singing ^_^

Good sound there Ken. I had a 16.4.2. Presonus that I used at our Opry show for 3 years and got some very good recordings to Capture. I would then take tracks home and mix down on Studio One DAW. Is this what you are doing or are you mixing with the mixer?
I made the mistake of going to a 24.4.2.AI and never did get it to work on computer and or Ipad and Iphone. Kept locking up and losing control. Tried two new mixers and both did same thing. Sweetwater music was nice enough to work with me and sent me a new X32 Behringer. It works great with no hitch what so ever. Presonus is really picky about what computer. router, firewire card and all that stuff have to be right. The X32 just works with anything. I record to Reaper now and take wavw files home and mix down on Studio One.
I can't tell much if any difference in the recordings with Presonus and Behringer except maybe Presonus had a little more presence. Either one will produce great recordings live. I really liked the layout of Presonus better. Just wish it would have worked correct with the remotes. I understand now they have it fixed.
