Skype type of service for online collaboration?

Post by Rick Schacter »

I was wondering if anyone has used any service such as riffworks.com or onlinejamsesssions.com to rehearse with someone who is not living in the same town?

I get together every now and then with a group that lives approx. 150 miles away from where I live.

We tried a rehearsal with Skype, but it was a bit frustrating with the video stalling from time to time as well as parts being out of sync.

Is there any other type of service that will work?

Thanks,

Rick

Their free application has limits before you have to pay....be sure to read up on minimum computer needs such as RAM etc

I had downloaded a free month's trial of eJamming but never got around to trying it out before my free period expired. Here's a YouTube about it, FWIW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKyDzSaS4h0
