Roger Nichols Recording Engineer 1944-2011

Post by robert kramer »

Here is some info on recording engineer Roger Nichols who did a lot to advance the sound of recording as we know it today. I remember when Donald Fagen's 1982 LP "The Night Fly" was THE recording used to tune up sound systems before concerts. Roger Nichols also got a good steel sound on "Skunk" Baxter - I remember reading it was an Emmons D-10 through a Vox AC 30.
