Hey Susan,
If my Big Band rehearsal is cancelled I'll try to be there! If not maybe next time. Do you play Nashville often?

Susan,

I just marked my calendar, I'll be there...

Of course in deference to our long proud tradition of country pedal steel I trust you won't veer too far from "Way To Survive"! ;-)
Just in case anyone from the PSG "border patrol" should happen to be there...

Looking forward to it!

Pete,

"A Way to Survive" is a beautiful song, and the instrumental version by Buddy Emmons is breathtaking. I remember going to a steel guitar convention several years ago, and one steel player after the next got on the bandstand and played that song (most of them note for note like the BE version) -- this after the Big E had already played the song during his set.

If the "border patrol" should stop by, perhaps they'd be happier with a different country song.
[This message was edited by Susan Alcorn on 06 July 2004 at 12:52 PM.]

Actually what ever Susan wants to play will be interesting and inovative if her CD is any reference.
Have a great gig Madam.

I'll be out of town. (Grr!)

Is it too soon to start lobbying for a return engagement?

There's a short article in this week's Nashville Scene about Ms. Alcorn (though the date at the end of the piece is wrong).
