Been thinking of going from XP to Win 7. Any suggestions on a decent sound card for Win 7?? Lee

Stick with XP, it's much more musician friendly.

I tried Windows 7, only to discover that 'what you hear' recording is very difficult to set (to stop people recording streaming media), and the latency was unacceptable.

The problem with WIN 7 PC's is the available slot for sound cards...PCI or PCI express..

Be sure the card you purchase, such as an MAudio card can actually plug into your WIN 7 PC.
