To record a church sermon with a camera and then make DVDs that can also be played for "voice only" in cd players ???

DVDs will not play in CD players, but both DVDs and CDs will play in DVD players.

Plug the camera into your computer, press play.
At the same time, run 'Audacity' in 'record' mode, with the input set to 'stereo' (do a Google search if you don't know what Audacity is).

Save the finished audio to your hard drive, and then burn it to CD

Thanks Richard--my son has loaded audacity to my puter but I have never used it before.Have to explore it.
