Heartlands Hayride Radio/Webcast2-10-01

Post by Dave Van Allen »

"Heartlands Hayride" LIVE radio and web simulcast Saturday 02-10-01 6pm EDT to 8pm EDT

Theme this week: Love Songs... it's a Valentines Day tie-in Image and it's also shaping up to be a Buck Owens show- seems many performers spontaneously chose at least one by BO for their spot...

"Heartlands Hayride" is a locally (NJ near Princeton) produced LIVE 2 hour weekly show dedicated to entertainment with a "down home" flavour. The acts have been selected from auditioners from the surrounding New Jersey hills, and range from neophytes to relatively seasoned singers, story tellers, etc...

I am in the rotating pool of house band musicians for the show. We do have a few "band features," and I will be sharing the fills and solos behind many of the performers on Pedal Steel( ZumSteel U12)

Featured Steel Guitar instrumentals this week will likely be "Together Again" and perhaps "Zing went the strings of my Heart"

Hey Dave, I listened to about 1/2 hour of last weeks's show and really enjoyed it. It's nice to hear some traditional, uncommercial music on the radio. I'll try to catch it all this week.

Thanks for the feedback Bill; it's good to know someone is listening! It is what it is- a local station getting a bunch of local folks to "put on a show" down home as Rich the host likes to refer to it.I enjoy the "seat of the pants" aspect of quick runthroughs before airtime and "let 'er rip..."
I know webcasts are a bit rough sometimes with the buffering...
