Central Ohio Steel Jam????

hi,i would like to get any response of support on helping me with a columbus(area) jam session. this is not to take away from any of the other jams in ohio,but to complete the gap and to promote the steel guitar in columbus.location/date is not set yet, but this is all in the first stages of being started.anyone that wants to help in the way of getting a band,sound eqip. etc. please let me know.i will also post any updates on this venture. thanks alot....GREG ZIMMER

I'd be interested, Greg. Maybe even a "double" with another "Deacon Morris Memorial Jam," like they had a couple of years ago.

Greg, when are you planning to have it? I have spent many a night at the Carousel on jam nite. I miss those days and the people. Deacon Morris was an inspiration to me, not to mention a good friend. If I can get out of Renfro Valley for a nite I would love to come up!!!

wow, thanks for all the feedback.i'm really
getting excited now. i think if its on a sunday afternoon then it will free up all you
guys that have gigs on weekends. i'm thinking about maybe jan. but need to look at the other jam dates to make sure i don't stack on
the same day. not to be a copy cat,but it will be set up like the hummingbird jams.
(i think) i also want to promote the hummingbird jams and southern ohio steel show
with this event and will get in touch with both those people for flyers. i will update

ok guys i have a place and date......
feb. 4 th.(sunday) 1pm-7or8pm at the days inn at I-71 and rt. 161 north of columbus
i will be starting another post that will announce all this.flyers are being made.
this is an open jam for all steel players.
thanks alot for all the support in this.i'm very happy and think this will be a great time.....greg zimmer
