Acoustic Hawaiian steel show in SF

Aloha! This message is for all you folks who live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Myself and Ben Bonham will be debuting our new all acoustic Hawaiian steel guitar band, The Waikiki Steel Works, this Saturday November 11 at the Atlas Cafe in San Francisco. We play a mixture of traditional Hawaiian songs, hot Hawaiian Jazz (like Sol Hoopii), some slack key and ukulele stuff. I play a Marc Silber Weissenborn replica, and Ben plays an old National Tricone. We both back each other up on uke and guitar.

Sounds like it'll be a lot of fun but unfortunately I have other commitments and will not be able to attend.

Consider yourself very lucky to be able to find someone to play this style of music with and actually land a gig doing it!

I'll be there, Frank. It will be interesting contrasting the sound of the Weissenborn against the tricone.
