Dickie Overbey
Is there any video's on Dickie Overbey that can be posted? Here is one of the world's best back up Steeler's and I think the world should see him in action up front...Wonderful musician....

Here is a circa 1960s clip from Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UO02NGwvqPU
I'd also love to see something recent or from the ISGC.

You are right Dave...no Emmons guitars in'61...also the'Fender'logo on the electric guitar is a mid'60s era...Dickey has ALWAYS played great!

There is evidence this is the "Touch My Heart" guitar. On April 15, 2006, Leon Roberts and Albert Johnson posted a photo of Dickie Overby playing the black "TMH" wraparound behind Connie Smith. Look for a decal of a white star at extreme right front of guitar. An identical white star can be seen beginning at 1:26 of Faron's video (at Overby's turnaround) at the lower right hand corner of the screen. Is the guitar in the photo (which was identified by Roberts and Johnson as the "TMH" guitar) and the guitar in the video the same guitar?
According to Mike Cass, the film "Nashville Rebel" features Overby playing the black wraparound purported to be this legendary guitar. I will be able to view this film after Christmas break and I will look for the white star decal. While this is not a positive I.D., we can all go to school watching Dickie Overby, Faron Young & Co.
Here is photo link. Scroll down to black & white stage photo of Overby backing Connie Smith:
