New Moderator: Joey Ace
I had several applicants for the open Moderator position here. I decided on Joey Ace's because of his level-headed approach to people and his comfort level with the medium.
Joey is present on the Forum almost every day, posting helpful messages. I'm sure his skills will be appreciated here.
Welcome to the Forum staff, Joey.

...??!!??..HEY...whadabout ME!...I'm level-headed, go$da#n it, and I've got better people skills than this Joey Space guy, whoever the heck he is...
...somebody really blew a good opportunity here...don't tell me I don't know anything about electronics...hey, I've got electrodes on my head, and they tell me everything...
...Jon, get a longer cord and move further away, the volume should decrease...just be sure it's shielded cord...

I'd like to thank everyone who emailed me and posted welcome messages. It's an honor to be a staff member of this institution.
I've been a Electronics Tech since the 70s, a Network Expert since the mid 90s, and a musical weekend-warrior since the 70s. I designed and built some custom electronics that are still in use today by some major players. I love Steel Guitar and this Forum and see this as a way to give a bit back.
Even with the experience I've described, I see my role here as only a "Moderator".
That means my goal is to keep topics on track and productive. We are blessed with many "True Experts" here.
I welcome their answers and comments.
Here's responses to the above public posts:
b0b - Thank you for your trust.
DVA - I love Hendrix references. That tune taught me "Circle of 5ths" back in the 60s. I also enjoyed you CD, even "Mail Myself to Elvis"
Ricky - Thanks. You're one of the main guys that make the Steel community so great.
Michael - I'm in good company.
Jon and Paul - Thanks. There's several others factors involved in the AMP question.
Earnest - I use my FF button for that. I'm just glad to have the televised Opry back. It was not on Canadian TV for a few months.
John L - Thanks, eh!
Bobby B - my pal John Steele admits to dropping his Nash 1000 down the stairs. I don't think he used compensators.
Jim - I'm worth double what b0b is paying me, but agreed to work at the same rate as Ricky.
Pat - Try switching to decaff.
Grouchyvet - With a new Carter D12 on the way, I don't understand why you're still Grouchy.
Thanks again everyone,

...maybe you're right, Joey, maybe I need to try decaf..
..anyway, I think you'll be an excellent moderator here, I really do think you have people skills in abundance (humor, tolerance), and as a bonus, you have knowledge of the subject matter!..
..I'm usually just a lurker in the electronics section, this is one of the most valuable sections of the forum for learning about the steel and playing music..
...but now that you're here, I have a hum in my rig and I was reading about ground loop in the archives, so I did as suggested and lifted my grounds...
