Anyone know who's playing steel on this live Johnny Paycheck recording from 1996?

Pretty sure it's Jay Andrews. Johnny's version with Jay at the Opry from that general period - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDFCvfh ... DFCvfh-Dj8 - has been discussed many times over many years - viewtopic.php?t=330271

It's Jay Andrews.
Zumsteel steel guitars, Peavey Nashville/Session and Nashville 112 amplifiers, Nux, and Boss effects, and GHS strings.

Jay Andrews is a great player. I was lucky enough to get to eat supper with Paycheck once in NY. I was working with Bill Monroe and we were playing a package show with several Opry acts.

Speaking of Johnny Paycheck steelers, When I worked at Bobbe Seymour's Steel Guitar Nashville and Steel Guitar World stores he would sometime go on the road with Johnny.
He would bring back tapes from the shows. "The old Violin" was one of his excellent songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrvY6Lk ... rt_radio=1
Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

And a nice guy as well. About a year ago we went to Music City Bar & Grill after our first time at the Opry. He joined us at our table on break and chatted about playing steel, his time with Paycheck, and other various things. It made my night.
Many play better than I do. Nobody has more fun.
