In my search for a "leave it in the trunk"/"hazardous duty" practice amp. I discovered the Bandit 65 to be a perfect choice. Enough power for playing with a drummer in a small club or rehearsal space, and dare I say it, great sound. Best of all, $100.
Well, the knucklehead that I bought it from sent it all the way from California with nothing more than a single layer of cardboard taped over the grillecloth and another piece over the opening in back. The amp arrived on my doorstep courtesy of standard USPS. I couldn't believe it when I saw it sitting there! It had a few fresh-looking dings on the corners but otherwise looked O.K., the poor little thing bounced its way all the way from California to Maine with virtually no protection.
I plugged it in and it worked perfectly.
How's that for durability?!?
Testimonial to Peavey durability
