Goodrich H10K Pedal Question

Post by Chuck Martin »

I recently got one of these vloume pedals and know it has a battery in it. I usually leave all of my gear hooked up between practice sessions. Is the battery going to go dead if I don't unplug it after each session?

Thanks, Chuck

Hi Chuck: The battery on that Goodrich pedal will go dead, but it will take quite some time (maybe 3 months). I'd suggest you pull the back (I think) phone plug out of the pedal enough to disengage it from making contact with the points inside the pedal. I'm not looking a a Goodrich pedal at the moment, but one or the other of your phone plugs disengages the battery once it is pulled out.

It is the back one (output) that disengages the battery. I pull the plug after every use, and my batteries usually last a couple of years.

Tom, thanks for the quick reply. I'll be sure to unplug it when I'm not using it.

Hey Darvin, that little Peavey Studio Pro I bought from you awhile back has worked out great. I'm using it in a praise band and run it straight to the board using the direct out.
[This message was edited by Chuck Martin on 18 March 2002 at 08:15 PM.]

Glad to hear it Chuck, you couldn't put it to better use. I used it in my shop to check out guitars I worked on and it worked fine there. I just had too many amps.
