problem with twin popping while playing

David, sorry to hear about the cost of reconing. In the past it was always cheaper. If you go that route I would definately get more than one estimate. In the mean time I will check with my friend Woody Woodell here in Nashville and see what he charges. Image

I'm still going to work on my Sho Bud... The Twin sounds so much better after swapping speakers, definately more string definition, even sounds better with my Tele. I'll call you in a week or two about getting together. Take it easy... Joe

Indeed, the 12AX7s can get very microphonic and cause a lot of popping. I played a Super Reverb for years and that was my biggest problem, Gary.
