I like the Goodrich L10K, when Keith's new pedal came out last year these pedals (and the L120s and the H10Ks, etc.) were instant 'trailing edge' technology and used ones were pretty cheap.
Works great for me. Besides the impedance buffer, I like the idea of the 10K pots vs the 500k pots, easier to find.

Interesting observations! I have a Hilton and haven't noticed any tone coloration? In comparison to my old pot pedal I wouldn't call it tone coloration, but more "clarity". The pot dulled the tone slightly and even more after half throttle. So I always had to set max volume at half pedal. Hilton is no tone change from off to full on. I like the ability to add or delete preamp on the Hilton. My preference is to boost the signal slightly before it goes out of the pedal. Seems to fatten the tone a bit to my ear. More like bringing out the natural tone of the pickup/guitar before the amp takes over.

I've had a Goodrich L-120 since February, and it always had a lot of noise in the pot. I finally decided it wasn't going to get better, so I called Goodrich about a week ago, and asked what was a "normal" ammount of noise? Within about 15 seconds I was offered a new pot, and received it in a couple of days. Very good service. If it had an actual warranty, I wasn't aware of it.
The main reason I'm posting, though, is that I asked about the 10K pedals that Bill T. mentions above, and I guess they've converted that to a 500K pot, although I understand the circuitry is the same, or about the same.
