Rock tunings

For Rock, I Often use the DADGAD tuning). I like the suspended note (4) because a major note is oftent oo bright and the minor, too dark.
The 1-5-1 on the bottom gives a good bottom, especially with distortion/overdrive, gives good three note power chords for ZZ Top type songs.
If I'm not familiar with the song, skating around on the bottom strings and finding the root notes to the chords is fast.
Along with a pyramid of the next chord option, I'm usually on top of a song after the 1st chorus.
